Open Your Heart
Most of us are active people who lead busy, chaotic lives. Even if we do manage to fit prayer, Scripture study, and church attendance into our weekly routine, we may still feel harried, run down, and even a little lost. The first practice for Refresh, Restore, Renew is an "Open Heart," which encourages us to stop, reflect, and open ourselves up to the healing work of Jesus Christ.
Why am I here?
Why did I sign up for a digital retreat? Why am I seeking spiritual refreshment? How am I feeling right now and why am I feeling that way?
What do I want?
What am I hoping to get out of this experience? What peace am I seeking? What is my physical body yearning for right now? What is my spirit craving?
What do I need?
What do I need God to do in my life? What darkness needs to be dispelled so that I can have clarity? Do I need to confront something I've been avoiding?
Worship & Praise
Worship leader David Jump launches the week with Hebrews 12:1-2: "And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
